Thank you for visiting Workable Options' website — I am delighted that you are here. A little about our consulting firm and how we got started...

Workable Options is a consulting firm that assists organizations in developing cohesive communications and ensures compliance in business practices. Prior to founding Workable Options, I practiced labor and employment law, and served in the Employment Division of the Office of the Florida Attorney General. As a practicing attorney, I specialized in litigating employment discrimination cases for individuals and organizations and represented corporate, governmental, and individual clients in all aspects of employment litigation, mediation, and training. 

People always ask me — how did you transition from practicing employment law to consulting and training? The answer is simple. One day, while sitting in my law firm, shuffling paperwork and arguing with other attorneys, I thought "there has to be a better way".

It seemed to me that over 80% of the cases I was litigating came from errors surrounding the communicative process. In most cases, there was not proper communication between (1) the organization's lawyers and the business, (2) the business and the management, (3) the management and their individual teams, or (4) between employees. These errors included lack of information, lack of communication and/or miscommunication. Once all interested parties actually sat down and talked about what went wrong, nine times out of ten, the litigation would settle a week before trial. 

Light bulb! If I could start consulting with organizations prior to litigation and encourage the implementation of proper policies, procedures, and communicative processes, I might save organizations and individuals from the energy draining practice which is litigation.

By utilizing the tools and skills gained by my experience litigating employment law issues, and capitalizing on my interactions with my clients, both while practicing law and consulting, we created the Leadership Library. The courses we offer, our Leadership Library,  provide education and training on almost every facet of an individual's employment — from the beginning to end. The coursework encompasses everything from conducting a legally compliant interview that selects the individual right for the job function and for the organization to the proper (and legal) way for an employee to separate from the organization... and everything in between. 

Finally, I offer my investigative training and services for those times when, despite an organization's efforts, an employee files a complaint. As an investigator, I rely heavily on my legal experience to create an airtight investigative report that will insulate an organization from liability.
